I do not accept insurance for Individual Therapy at this time.
However, I can provide a Super Bill that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Sliding scale rates offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. I prioritize folx who have historically lacked access to counseling and therapy services (due to race, class, LGBTQIA+, ability). If you would benefit, please directly ask if any slots are open. -
I am currently providing therapy services via Telehealth (virtual video sessions) only at this time. Telehealth allows my therapy services to be accessible for folx throughout the state of Washington.
I plan to provide telehealth services indefinitely. -
Our first session will look a little different than our following sessions because we will be just beginning to get to know each other. During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, complete a thorough assessment, and explore your expectations and goals for treatment.
Subsequent sessions will often start out with checking in to see if there’s anything pressing on your heart and/or mind that you would like to focus on that day. I will also briefly summarize what was discussed during our previous session and give you the option to choose which pathway we take for our current session – whether that is to pick up where we left off on our last session or to focus on what is currently on your heart and/or mind. Sometimes, we will end up going down both pathways, whether they are one in the same or two entirely different directions.
I understand there will be days where you feel up for diving deep into the more tender spaces of your life, but I also recognize that there will be days where you might not have the capacity to revisit these deeper wounds. I want to honor how you show up on both of these kinds of days and meet you where you are at. I hope you never feel pressured to show up to our sessions in a way that doesn’t feel authentic to you at that moment.
When appropriate or warranted, I may offer recommendations of activities, thought-exercises, and/or reading materials that I believe might benefit you in your journey through self-work. If you choose to follow up on any of these suggestions, they may help us to travel further along established pathways we have explored during previous sessions or open up other pathways for us to explore in our subsequent sessions.
Each session will last about 55 minutes. -
Frequency of therapy sessions will vary depending on each individual, their needs or preferences, and our combined availability. It is typical for clients to choose to start off meeting on a weekly or biweekly basis.
Similarly, the length of our therapeutic relationship will depend on you and your readiness to discontinue services. There may come a time when I feel that I can no longer serve your specific needs or goals – at which point, I would refer you to other providers that may be better able to serve you. -
Ultimately, you are the expert on your own healing and you will discover what works for you (if you haven’t already).
What I can share is that I have extensive experience in working with the following populations and issues:BIPOC-identifying individuals, especially those with AAPI backgrounds
Children of immigrants
Seniors and adults with disabilities, their family members, and caregivers
Struggling with depression, anxiety, burnout, and stress
Grieving, experiencing profound loss, or major life transitions
Navigating questions around identity
Wanting to change how you see yourself or others
Feeling frustrated with work-related issues or considering a lifestyle/career change
Having difficulty expressing needs and emotions with others
Persistent issues and unwanted patterns in relationships
Those who have experienced a traumatic event and are having difficulty processing it and healing from it
You absolutely do not have to fit into one of these categories in order for us to work together. I only offer these examples so that you can have a better idea of the people and issues I feel confident being able to serve effectively. We can discuss your specific reasons for seeking therapy during your free 15-minute phone consultation. -
Unfortunately, I am not offering therapy services for couples, families, or in a group format at this time.

“The world is full of painful stories. Sometimes it seems as though there aren't any other kind and yet I found myself thinking how beautiful that glint of water was through the trees.”
